PLOWING AND SNOW REMOVAL (Update)

LAKE SUNAPEE LANDSCAPING & PROPERTY MANAGEMENT

This is New Hampshire. It is going to snow, and sleet, rain, ice. It will be 50 degrees at some point this winter, and 10 below maybe the very next day. Snow removal and sanding are important investments. We all need to get in and out of our homes, we need fuel deliveries, and emergencies do happen. Access to your home is important.

Who better to plow snow than a landscaper? We can't do our work in the winter other than tree pruning and prep work, and we are sensative to what is happening in your yard the rest of the year. Plowing mess is no fun to clean up, so Landscapers try to plan your landscaping with winter in mind.

We start plowing snow as soon as a storm accumulates more than 3 inches. There is an art to plowing, and it requires good equipment and planning. If you don't have a good plan for the driveway that you are clearing it will show; maybe not after one storm, but as the year 's snows accumulate, it will show. It can become very difficult toIn the spring home owners can find some real messes. Planning for plowing and snow removal, and putting up marker stakes can minimize damage to property. Plowing and landscaping work together. Landscaping plans need to consider where snow will fall, where it will come off of roofs, where it will drift, and where it will end up when you shovel and plow it.

The plow operator's job isn't just pushing snow around. Our job is making sure that people have safe ways into and out of their homes and businesses when the weather is at its worst. We take that responsibility very seriously.

Our truck, which is a Ford F-350 with a Fisher Plow and a small sander is great. It works well in all types of snow, and handles the largest of storms with ease. We have tire chains for when it gets icy, or when traction is at a premium.

If need be we can move snow banks back with our tractor's front end loader. Our backhoe also comes in handy at times. With flooding immanent last year we created melt holes in huge snow banks with our backhoe. This allowed for snow melt and rain water to move through the snow banks and away from homes. This helped to prevent the snow banks from acting like dams, and helped these landowners avoid flooding.

We have a snow blower that we use to clear walkways and some decks.

Shoveling walks, decks and roofs are services that we provide.

We will be plowing in Springfield, Georges Mills, and Sunapee again this year.
