John and Maureen Chiarella are Lake Sunapee Landscaping and Property Management. With a little help from friends we care for a limited number of client's properties, most are on the shores of Lake Sunapee, in the town of Sunapee, New Hampshire. We intentionally keep our business small, so we can provide the high quality and personalized service that our customers have come to expect. This work gives us emense joy and satisfaction. People say this shows in our work. We love working outdoors, and thrive on the creative aspects of our work. We derive a great sense of satisfaction from doing the best job possible. Maureen has a Certificate in Landscape design, and has over 30 years of experience in the field. John has been working with Maureen for almost 15 years. We create and maintain naturalized yet vivid landscapes that have an organic flow, are functional, and are environmentally sound. We utilize non-invasive materials, preferably native. All the products that we use such as fertilizers are natural or organic. Our goal is to give you the enjoyable property that you want, and to do so in a way that enhances or contributes to the long term health of our community. A community where we have lived for most of our married life, where we have raised our daughter, and in which we have tried to contribute as good citizens, neighbors, volunteers, and even elected officials. We have always been outdoor enthusiasts, and have chosen this line of work after trying other careers most notably in the fields of teaching, coaching, and sports equipment representation. Our first date was a mountain bike ride. Hiking, running, riding, and skiing is what we do in our spare time, and to keep healthy. We both volunteered for trail crews as teens, and had jobs in outdoor recreation and Nordic Skiing, including owning and managing two ski touring centers. The economics of the Norsk Ski Center necesitated formal, practical, and experiential learning in various areas such as Web Design, Print Media, Mechanics, Grooming, Trail Design and Trail Building, and many other areas that we call on to run our business now.John |
